Where to go for breakfast, brunch & something sweet

Choose between a full sit-down meal and a bakery stop before you head out:

  • A classic breakfast: Dan’s Hamburgers serves pancakes, breakfast tacos, and biscuits and gravy during breakfast hours.
  • Breakfast at another hour: Los Agaves serves breakfast all day.

  • A bakery stop: Abuelita’s Bakery Spot, at 606 Main Street, offers Mexican baked goods including conchas and pastries. Select the Buda location when checking hours or ordering.

Brunch service and opening hours aren’t necessarily the same thing. Check the specific menu’s schedule if you’re going for one particular dish.

Coffee, cocktails & places to sit outside

A meal doesn’t have to be the whole outing. These stops give you somewhere to meet before dinner or keep the conversation going afterward.

Common questions about eating in Buda

Which Buda restaurants work well for families?

Buck’s Backyard has a kids’ menu and family-friendly grounds; check individual concert policies before bringing children. Hat Creek adds a playground to a family meal, and MOD lets everyone choose their own pizza toppings. Roxie’s and Treze both publish children’s menus. Main Street Pizzeria offers pizzas to share, while Garcia’s has a broad selection of familiar Mexican dishes. For younger children, ask about high chairs and seating when booking.

Where do kids eat free in Buda?

MOD Pizza offers a Sunday kids-eat-free promotion at participating locations. Buy a regular-size pizza or salad and receive one free kids’ meal for a child age 12 or younger. Buda’s MOD is in Rylander Plaza at 15550 S. I-35 Frontage Road, Suite 125. The offer is available in the restaurant and through MOD’s website or app; use code KEF2026 for eligible online orders. Alternative crusts cost extra, and third-party delivery orders are excluded. See MOD’s offer and current promotion terms.

Nearby in Kyle: Crust Pizza at Kyle Crossing offers kids eat free all day Tuesday with the purchase of a full-size entrée. The restaurant is at 5140 S. FM 1626. Check the Kyle Crossing specials page and ask the restaurant about eligible kids’ meals and any age or per-entrée limits.

Tip: Check with the restaurant before loading up the kids. Promotions can change, and MOD’s offer depends on location participation. These offers were checked in October 2026.

Which Buda restaurants have vegetarian or vegan options?

Dos Olivos is worth a look for a vegetarian meal downtown. Whipped feta, beet salad and Brussels sprouts are marked vegetarian on its current menu. They contain dairy, and the sprouts have a honey-lime yogurt crema. For a vegan order, ask which dishes can be made without dairy, honey and other animal ingredients. There isn’t a labeled vegan entrée on the menu we checked.

For vegan pizza, start with MOD. Choose regular dough, vegan cheese and suitable vegetable toppings, and tell the staff you’re ordering vegan so they can help with sauce choices. MOD’s dietary FAQ confirms vegan options.

For vegetarian meals, there are several specific dishes to consider:

  • Willie’s Joint: Vegetarian tacos with sweet potato, corn, zucchini and cheese, plus cheese quesadillas.
  • Beijing Bistro: Buddha’s Feast, orange tofu and Kung Pao tofu are in the vegetarian section. For vegan orders, confirm sauces and ask for no egg in fried rice.
  • Garcia’s: Spinach enchiladas and vegetable quesadillas.
  • Treze: A veggie burger on its ordering menu.
  • Main Street Pizzeria: Vegetable-topped pizzas, including the Hot & Hearty and Tipsy Tomato.

Hat Creek also advertises vegetarian and vegan options, but ask staff which current combination meets your needs. A veggie burger or vegetable dish can still contain egg, dairy or animal-based sauces; confirm the bun, toppings, cooking fats and sides when ordering vegan.

Which Buda restaurants have dog-friendly patios?

Bring your leashed dog along for a patio meal at Hat Creek. It’s a straightforward option when you want a meal with your dog along.

Buck’s Backyard is another dog-friendly option for food and drinks outdoors on FM 1626. Check event-specific policies before bringing your dog to a concert.

Downtown, Brooklyn’s Down South and Willie’s Joint are also listed with dog-friendly patios by Austin Dog Guide. Confirm current seating rules with those restaurants before heading over, especially during events.

Plan for outdoor seating, keep your dog leashed and ask about patio availability when you arrive. If it’s hot or raining, check whether there is suitable covered seating before bringing your dog.

Which restaurants offer takeout or delivery?

Main Street Pizzeria, Beijing Bistro and MOD offer both. Roxie’s, Brooklyn’s, Louie’s, Garcia’s and Treze also have online ordering links. Delivery availability depends on your address, the ordering service and the time you order.

Do I need reservations?

Taste on Main, Brooklyn’s and Dos Olivos offer reservation options. Book ahead for a celebration or larger party. Louie’s accepts picnic-table requests, which are useful when you want a group to sit together outside.

Where should I park for a meal in downtown Buda?

Start with marked public parking along Main Street near your restaurant. If those spaces are full, look for designated public lots rather than assuming every nearby business lot is open to restaurant visitors.

  • For a Main Street meal: Choose a legal marked space near your restaurant, then walk between downtown stops. Check signs for any restrictions.
  • When downtown is busy: The City Hall area at 405 E. Loop Street is another option identified in local event parking guidance, which lists free public parking around downtown and City Hall. Check the walking route to your restaurant and posted lot access before leaving your car.
  • For Mill & Grain restaurants: Use the business’s directions to find its suite and designated customer parking; follow signs distinguishing customer spaces from public parking.
  • During festivals: Check that event’s parking map and road closures. Budafest’s map page is the place to look for its event arrangements; festival shuttles and temporary lots aren’t everyday dining parking.

If you need accessible parking or a short, step-free route, contact the restaurant for the closest suitable space and entrance. Allow extra time on event nights.

Where can I find new restaurants opening in Buda?

Our Buda Business Buzz page tracks openings, announced plans and business changes. Check a business’s own opening announcement before making plans; a construction date isn’t a customer-opening date.
